What is LwL coaching?

LwL uniquely combines life coaching, the lessons from "off-the-mat" yoga, with physical movement. We work together to work on your mental and physical fitness. I use my life coaching techniques combined with yoga knowledge and physical movement expertise to get you where you want to be.

What is life coaching?

Google is a great place to start if you want to find out more about Life Coaching, but here I will give you my view on what it is and how I will deliver my coaching sessions. I see coaching as a tool to help an individual achieve what they want in a certain area of their life, to unleash one's potential. Coaching facilitates the unlocking of what is inside of the coachee. A coaches role is to ask good, possibly challenging questions, to help the coachee think and recognise what they want and how they may be able to achieve this. Sometimes we are trapped inside our own thoughts and actions, and we need a little help to get out of that - a coach should assist in doing this. Coaching is a balance between challenge and support.

A coach-coachee relationship is bi-directional, they together create a plan to help the coachee move forward in the direction they would like. A coach should assist the coaching to create tools and resources to help them achieve what they want.

Coaching is not therapy or counselling - these generally focus on the past, rather than the present and future. Therapy is undertaken by trained professionals, and may be required to resolve or heal a past emotion/event. I fully support therapy/counselling, and I would suggest it, if I feel it is appropriate for an individual.

How could you benefit from coaching?

If you would like to improve an area in your life, from something that could appear minor and short-term,  to something huge and long-term, coaching can definitely help. I think for most people it is time and money which are the limiting factors. Because of this, I have tried to make my services as flexible as possible, so I hope to accommodate for most people. Below I will list different examples of what people may get coaching for (this is not an exclusive list by any means!). If you are unsure, please contact me to have an informal discussion.
