Life with Lorna was established in 2021 by myself, Lorna. At the time I was a postdoc in the life sciences in Liverpool, UK. Prior to this, I completed a postdoc in the States and undertook my PhD and Undergraduate at Newcastle University, UK. I am a born and bred Yorkshire Lass.

Alongside my scientific career I have competed in 
athletics since an early age and physical movement is a regular part of my days. I truly believe in the power of movement to help create healthy minds.


I have always had a passion to help others, whether that be in a mentoring capacity or motivational sense; this has led me to become qualified as a life coach, a personal trainer and a yoga teacher. I am finally in a position to bring all of those aspects together to help individuals recognise, reach and sustain their potential. 

I am a certified One of Many life coach and I would like to help females create and achieve their ideal lives! I am also a trained Personal Trainer and have completed 200 Yoga Teacher Training. I will uniquely bring all of these aspects together to create a service for you that leaves you feeling physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually your best.

Why? I have grown up around lots of "successful" females, and I have met many in my academic career. However, I am aware of the challenges women face. A big desire for me and for many women I know is to have a successful and fulfilling career, yet with equal importance, have a healthy, meaningful and joyful life outside of work ("the best of both"). 

Who? I have the passion to help females reach their potential, both in their personal and professional lives.

I have a particular interest in helping female academics, due to my experience in academia. This could be early career researchers (PhDs/post-docs), who are uncertain, frightened, lost, overwhelmed etc., with their current situation and what their future may involve, to experienced researchers (PIs/supervisors) who may also feel like this and perhaps have experienced burn-out and would like to become better at managing their work-life balance. Additionally, I aim to help any person who would like to improve their leadership skills.

I primarily offer the option for individual clients to undertake a12 week transformative package named "find your flow and flourish" or a one-off 2h session.
